so first of all – sorry, pics are crappy as my camera still sits in Elva garage so until i cannot get it i have to take pics with my phone and believe me they will not turn out as nice i would like
anyway i got me a new toy to play with in garage

after some assemble this turned out

little test-fit. will take it apart again and tighten every joint… someday. and once i can get my compressor to work i can use this blaster
and yesterday i was in Tallinn. once again. train left Tartu at 0639 with me on it and after some hours i was on my way back with this – ‘72 RHD Devon camper!
cooker, 4 beds, fridge, sink, 5 seats. 1600cc engine that looks really strong. well at least looked, will see that happens after i can get all the brakes off as yesterday i drove with some of them on. fuel consumption – ~20l/100km
so this needs some attention. acceleration is horrible but after some time i reached 110km/h so it cannot be that bad. needs a hell of cleaning and some minor details. again flywheel oil seal, there’s a hole under battery etc etc. but will keep you posted!

so this is how it went. quick engine repair, little decoration on the bus, sad clown drove it around (during what i discovered that engine NEEDS repair badly. smokes like hell, most probably due worn oil rings which in long term can lead to some piston damage i’m afraid), sad clown got even sadder one the tire “exploded”. on the way back i got strange clank somewhere going ~80km/h. got home going ~70km/h which didn’t bring that noise up again. still i have to remove the engine and see what’s wrong
and last pic is how we got Erki’s ‘63 to Vara. just a short stop in Tartu to check how it was hanging back there

so today morning there was Great Movement Of Buses 2010. so i went to Elva… oh wait, i came back home to pick up camera to get it on photo. i packed many things (tools, parts) and… all i got was some pics ‘cos i forgot to take them. and now, being back home, i realized i forgot my camera Elva. nice. anyway. most of the tools are moved. some parts as well but most of them stayed Elva. and Erki’s 63 and TriStar are now in Vara. more to come soon! as well as some pics
